Chiral Technologies to Showcase Immobilized and Coated Chiral Columns at HPLC 2010

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (June 14, 2010) — Chiral Technologies Worldwide will showcase its portfolio of immobilized and coated chiral columns at HPLC 2010, the 35th International Symposium on High Performance Liquid Phase Separations and Related Techniques (June 19-24, Hynes Convention Center, Boston), Booth 615.

Chiral Technologies’ expanded line of immobilized columns affords new selectivity and better stability than columns packed with conventionally coated chiral stationary phases (CSPs). Chiral immobilized columns allow chromatographers to use expanded ranges of solvents and mobile phases for the most challenging chiral separations. The columns are available in various sizes from analytical to preparative and can be packed with 3-µm, 5-µm and 20-µm immobilized CSPs – CHIRALPAK® IA, IB and IC.

Chiral Technologies columns and polysaccharide phases are recognized worldwide for chiral separations due to their broad application range — analytical, preparative, pilot- and commercial-scale. In addition, the columns are now available in 3-µm particle size and offer high-speed separations, which will result in processing more samples per day, while reducing analysis time and cost per sample.

Chiral Technologies will present a short course titled, “Liquid Chromatographic Enantiomer Separations: Concepts and Practical Aspects” from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., June 20. On June 21, it will present a poster session, “High Throughput Reversed Phase Chiral Screening Strategy on Polysaccharide-based Chiral Stationary Phases Using Volatile Buffers,” at 2:45 p.m. in exhibit halls A and B.
