PQP re-accreditation success for Cascade

Cascade has been awarded prestigious Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) re-accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) – a reflection of the company’s ongoing dedication to payroll best practice.

Having first secured PQP status in December 2010, before being re-accredited in 2012, this most recent success illustrates that Cascade is as serious about payroll, as it is about HR.

The team submitted a body of evidence in February, for scrutiny by a PQP assessor. After successfully satisfying a number of stringent criteria, news of the re-accreditation came in the first week of March.

Originally employing six payroll experts when the PQ P accolade was first secured, Cascade now has 25 staff dedicated to the discipline. This significant recruitment reflects the organisation’s considered investment in payroll-related solutions over the past four years. Cascade’s web-based payroll software provides a powerful extension to the company’s suite of HR technologies for example, and the team’s Payroll Managed Services – a comprehensive form of payroll bureau support – has proven a huge success since it was launched in 2012.

Commenting on the achievement, Cascade’s client services director Heather Vitty said: “Internally we know that we excel in terms of the continuous progression of our staff and the evolution of their professional competencies – the world of payroll is ever-changing and we are keen to always remain one step ahead of the game. However, official CIPP recognition cements our payroll credence and gives clients peace of mind that they are working with some of the industry’s finest.

“Every time we recruit a new team member to the business, we don’t just assess their knowledge at that point in time. We also evaluate their thirst for learning and their passion for ongoing improvement. We need every employee to be as equally committed to the future, if we are to maintain the highest quality payroll expertise and support for clients.”

This PQP success comes within a month of Cascade discovering it had achieved Investors in People Silver status. Heather concludes: “Not only do such accolades signify to existing and prospective clients that we work hard to be the best in our field; they also give our hard working employees a ‘pat on the back’ for their continued efforts.”
