UNTHA UK – the industrial shredding specialist renowned particularly for its expertise in the niche Waste to Energy sector – has further strengthened its team with the recruitment of a new sales manager.

Gary Moore joins UNTHA UK from Industrial Shredding Systems (ISS). With more than 25 years’ industry experience spanning the design, sales and supply of turnkey recycling and waste management solutions, he will quickly become a valuable asset within the growing UNTHA UK business.

Gary will support sales director Marcus Brew with the development of RDF and SRF market opportunities, particularly in the South of England. UNTHA is becoming increasingly involved in new projects in this sector, following the launch of the revolutionary XR waste shredder in September 2014. He will also play a part in devising shredding solutions for clients with WEEE, metal and plastic recycling requirements, to name just a few.

Having held various engineering, project management, sales and servicing roles – in the UK and overseas – Gary will enhance the level of knowledge within the ever-expanding team, believes UNTHA UK’s managing director Chris Oldfield.

“Whilst new project requirements are often very straightforward – because we’ve operated at the heart of the shredding industry for so long – we tend to be approached by clients with more challenging briefs too,” he explains. “Organisations realise we are innovative, and they know we strive to push boundaries in the fields of recycling and Waste to Energy. So we constantly look for talented industry professionals with a similar forward-thinking mind-set to our own, to help service the exciting opportunities that we’re presented with.

“Gary’s extensive industry insight will really complement the expertise we already have within the team.”

News of Gary’s appointment follows an impressive 12 months for UNTHA UK. Last year, the team was awarded a hat-trick of ISO accreditations for its approach to quality, environmental and safety management; the launch of the new XR shredder was met with industry acclaim at the RWM exhibition; and the company recorded 500% growth over the last three years.

Chris concludes: “We are a company committed to continuous improvement, which sees us constantly looking to the future, for the benefit of our own business as well as that of our clients. We’ll therefore continue to invest in our people, our technology and our processes, to maintain the standards for which we are renowned. We hope to double our turnover in the next two years, and Gary’s appointment will prove crucial to us reaching this target.”
