Wednesday 6th April, 2011: Leading Travel Money Card price comparison website www.compareprepaid.co.uk comments on the launch of Sainsbury’s new online service offering customers 1,000 bonus Nectar points for every £500 transaction made on travel money. Sainsbury's Travel Money has launched an online service that allows customers to ‘click and collect' their holiday money. The 0% commission on foreign currency, which offers competitive exchange rates, will give customers the choice of having their money delivered to home or collecting it from one of the 117 Sainsbury's Travel Money bureaux across the UK. Sainsbury's shoppers who use the online Travel Money service will also benefit from an introductory offer of 1,000 Nectar points for every £500 of foreign currency they purchase. Commenting, Raffick Marday from Compare Pre Paid says; “Nectar points for shopping are all well and good and will undoubtedly entice many people to use the new service, but I would urge anyone looking to save on travel money to look carefully at the various options available. “For example, instead of cash the Cash Passport prepaid currency card could be a better alternative for many as it offers a convenient alternative to traveller’s cheques or large amounts of cash on you as you travel and there is no need to visit a money exchange bureau when you run out. “But there are great new cards on the market now that are easy to buy and top-up, such as the Escape Travel MasterCard or the Breadfx Euro MasterCard. But there are plenty more good value prepaid cards to meet your exact travel money requirements available to compare online, too. Anyone looking to buy should compare travel money cards online before making a purchase. “What most of our customers like about prepaid travel money cards is that they leave you in complete control of exactly how much money you are spending, so you don’t have to face any nasty credit card surprises on your bill when you come home.” As with all personal finance products however, it is always advisable to compare different travel money cards to find the best deal for your individual travel plans and financial circumstances.
