(Oslo, Oct 18th 2018) Self Storage Group ASA (Self Storage Group, OSE:SSG) has entered into an agreement to acquire Vinkelhuset V AS. Vinkelhuset V AS is the owner of a property in Travbaneveien 1 in Stavanger, Norway. The transaction has a property value of NOK 12 million, with an estimated lettable area of 1000 square meters. The facility will be SSG´s 4th freehold facility in Stavanger, but will be the first to be operated under the City Self Storage brand.

"With this acquisition we take the City Self Storage brand to Stavanger and further strengthen SSG's position as market leader in the Stavanger Region. This acquisition is in line with our strategy to grow our freehold portfolio in selected markets. There is a growing demand for self storage in Norway, as urbanization and smaller living spaces cause an increasing need for external storage solutions" says Martin Nes, Chairman of Self Storage Group.

The property is located in Forus, about 11 kilometers south of the city centre of Stavanger. The location is close to several big-box retailers with easy access from main road. The new facility in Stavanger is estimated to open during the 1st quarter of 2019.

"We look very much forward to expand the City Self Storage brand into this new market, in line with our strategy for the larger Norwegian Cities" says Martin Nes, Chairman of Self Storage Group.

The transaction is expected to be closed during the 4th quarter of 2018.
