Semcon has signed a new framework agreement with Region Västmanland. The agreement covers services in medical technology equipment as well as information and communication technology in connection with the construction of a new emergency hospital in Västerås.

Semcon has extensive experience in the life science sector and has worked together with Region Stockholm for several years on new construction and rebuilding of hospitals such as New Karolinska Hospital, Danderyd Hospital, Södersjukhuset and Huddinge Hospital.

“The fact that Semcon has won this framework agreement shows that we have the experience and competence required within life science. We are really looking forward to contributing our expertise to support modern and effective care”, says Caroline Heuman, Area Manager at Semcon.

The framework agreement, which has been signed with Semcon as the sole supplier, extends over two years with the possibility of an extension for a further two years. The assignment includes areas such as medical technology, and information and communication technology (IT / ICT) where Semcon contributes with a number of senior project managers and project engineers. All to support the region in ensuring an appropriate and functionally equipped emergency hospital.

With more than 35 years of experience in life science, Semcon supports customers in developing user-friendly medical devices, quality-assured pharmaceuticals, and efficient digital information solutions. Read more about Semcon's offer in life science.
