Further expansion for Zipper by Semcon - Recruitment of leading figure from Framfab. Zipper by Semcon has expanded rapidly since its start-up in mid 2000. The company has recruited over 35 highly qualified and experienced consultants. The next phase of expansion is now opening up. Mats Nygård, previously sales manager at Framfab, is to launch Zipper Systems the 1 of March, 2001. The aim is to swiftly establish and extend Zipper's position as the leading supplier of packaged solutions within IT and infrastructure. Zipper System's business concept is to act as the link between the customer's business and operational development and new technology, and to safeguard commercial benefits via the correct choice in IT investment. "We are now taking the next step of our development and we are delighted to welcome Mats Nygård aboard to start yet another operations area within Zipper," says Ulf Börjel, Managing Director of Zipper by Semcon. "We are strengthening our organisation and enhancing our capability to deliver solution packages for IT strategies and software development." Mats Nygård joins Semcon from Framfab. Before that he was sales manager at Guide Datakonsult of Göteborg. "We are seeing greater demand for high quality IT services with a strong emphasis on the business benefit. The technology must be right and the content has to be intelligent. It cannot just be a fancy interface, as it often used to be," says Nina Llado-Ristorp, deputy Managing Director of Semcon Sweden AB, and head of the e-Design business area. Zipper's expanding operations are a strong addition to Semcon's IT sector, which had a positive growth during 2000. Semcon focuses on design and product development for industry and the company is a leader in IT in products and production processes (embedded design).
