New Board member strengthens Semcon's position in Medical On 21 March 2001, Annemarie Gardshol was appointed as member of the Board of Directors of Semcon AB (publ.) at the shareholders' general meeting. Annemarie is Senior Vice President of Gambro with responsibility for strategic global development. After gaining her Master of Engineering degree at Chalmers University of Technology, Annemarie worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company where her principal responsibilities were strategic planning and restructuring in pharmaceuticals and medical technology, particularly in the Nordic region and USA. "With her vast expertise in biotechnology and management consulting in an international environment, Annemarie is an excellent addition to the Board of Directors. Her appointment is in line with Semcon's focus on the Telecom, Vehicle and Medical industries and our long-term strategy is to follow our customers at an international level in these three growth industries," says Chairman of the Board Christian W Jansson.
