New CEO for Semcon

The Board of Directors for Semcon AB has decided to appoint Lars-Inge Sjöqvist, currently head of Semcon’s business area Informatic, as acting CEO.

Hans Johansson is resigning the position as CEO after 25 years with the company. Hans Johansson’s skilful entrepreneurship witnessed throughout the years has been important for the company’s development and Semcon is currently stronger than ever. Hans Johansson leaves Semcon and his position as a member of the board, due to having differing views with Semcon’s Board of Directors as to how the company should be managed. The Chairman of the Board, Christian W. Jansson makes the following comment: “Semcon is well equipped for the future and will continue its planned expansion internationally as well as within existing markets. Hans Johansson’s spirit of entrepreneurship has meant a great deal to Semcon’s development but it is now time for new forces to take over.”
