New MD recruited for Semcon Education AB A new MD has been recruited for Semcon Education AB, a subsidiary of the Semcon Group. The management at Semcon will shortly be releasing the name of the new MD, who will take up his post on the 1 February, 2000. Until then Caroline Krensler will step in as acting managing director. Semcon Education AB has shown rapid growth over recent years and is currently carrying out training at thirty-odd sites in Sweden and Denmark. Every day, all the year round, more than 1700 people take part in both short and long courses in technology, IT and activity development. Semcon Education is facing an interesting development phase, says Hans Johansson, Semcon's MD. Expansion within the area Competence development is continuing, and we are thus strengthening the organisation and adapting our business to the larger scale. We have now laid the foundations for our future development, where investment in training for both organisations and leading industrial companies is expected to increase further. During the autumn Caroline Krensler has been working with the Semcon Education's management group to draw up guidelines for the year 2000. She has been active at Semcon since 1995 and has worked on Semcon's business development.
