Semcon - leaders in technical cleanliness In just a short period of time, Semcon has become one of Scandinavia's leaders in technical cleanliness. As a result of its acquisition of the specialist company Garnbratt Consulting AB, Semcon can now satisfy the great demand for technical cleanliness that exists on the market. The company has developed the G-method@ (Garnbratt's-method), which is the basis for the new Swedish cleanliness standard. Over a very short period of time, Semcon has received assignments from several TM new, large and strategic clients thanks to its knowledge of the G-method and technical cleanliness. The automotive industry and its sub-contractors (including Volvo Car Corporation, Volvo Truck Corporation, Volvo Construction Equipment, VOAC, Haldex, Bosch USA, etc.) are among our most important clients. The cleanliness requirements have increased dramatically of late since industry, primarily the automotive industry, has begun to realize the importance of clean components. The automotive industry, which is a forerunner with regard to cleanliness, is now placing even greater demands on its sub- contractors. Previously there was no good tool available for setting TM requirements and implementing cleanliness in practice. The G-method (developed by Peter Garnbratt) is a simple and reliable method of checking and calculating the cleanliness of individual components or a complete system. - "We can now offer our clients a complete solution that includes all parts of the process", says Peter Garnbratt. This is essential in order to meet present and future product requirements with little downtime, long service life and long service intervals. Peter Garnbratt has a great deal of experience with particle cleanliness in systems. At one time, he was the Volvo Group's expert in the area and has been a member of both Swedish and international committees. Garnbratt is the author of the new Swedish standard "Cleanliness in systems - SS 2687", which is based on the G-method@ (Garnbratt's-method).
