Semcon is continuing its investment in the embedded system segment and acquires Tritech Technology AB’s business in Örebro. The acquisition is an assets and liabilities deal, meaning Semcon taking over responsibility for all personnel and associated business allocated to Örebro, in May.

This means that EIS by Semcon AB, a subsidiary in the Semcon Group and skills area concentrating on developing embedded systems, acquires Tritech Technology AB’s business in Örebro. The acquisition involves Semcon taking over responsibility for 17 employees with extensive experience of software, electronics, wireless communication and test development. “The acquisition will complement Semcon regionally both in terms of expertise and customer base. The acquisition strengthens Semcon’s position on the local market and provides opportunities to continue expanding nationally with our range of specially-adapted customer products, which is where Tritech in Örebro has come a long way,” says Petter Birkedahl, acting manager at EIS by Semcon. Tritech is intending to further consolidate the business to the Stockholm region in order to further focus on sales and development of their product portfolio and accompanying M2M solutions. “This is a strategic choice concerning how we want to run and develop Tritech and further develop and supply the market with products and solutions for M2M. We’re convinced that Semcon, with its experience and sound network, will continue positively developing the Örebro business,” explains Åke Wernelind, CEO of Tritech Technology AB.
