Semcon expanding - takes over Kabel e-Solutions' activities in Malmö Kabel e:Solutions, which has seven employees and cutting-edge competence in technically advanced systems development, mainly in databases, is starting a new department at Semcon. The company is owned by the German company, Kabel New Media, and has been located in the Öresund region for just over a year. The employees have chosen to continue their activities with the Semcon Group, and have Malmö as their HQ. Kabel e:Solutions' consultants have solid experience in systems development and complement Semcon's IT proficiency well in the database field. The reason that the employees chose Semcon is the company's significant competence in IT and Embedded Design. Furthermore, Semcon's close cooperation with the region's leading industries means greater development opportunities for the employees. Jörgen Lindell, the former CEO of Kabel e:Solutions Malmö, looks positively toward the future in his new role as departmental manager for Semcon's IT department in Malmö. "We had a number of different possible alternatives, but decided on Semcon, where all the employees feel there is an exciting future," he says. " For Semcon this also means that we strengthen relations with existing customers and take on the commitment for new customers in our focussed industries: telecom, medical and industrial," says Magnus Olsson, Area Manager of e-Design South.
