Semcon expanding in the Öresund region

Semcon expanding in the Öresund region Semcon, the consultancy firm, is continuing to expand and strengthen its position in the Öresund region. During May, Semcon will be starting up a new electronics department in Lund. Group growth during 1999 will be concentrated on the Stockholm and Öresund regions. Magnus Olsson has taken up his post as head of the new electronics department in Lund. The department will be offering customers solutions from hard- and software design to checking and test development. Services will be directed principally towards customers within telecommunications and the development of medical technology. In the south, Semcon will be offering its services within all three of the Group's business areas. Predominant customers in the region are Ericsson, Haldex and Gambro. "The Öresund region is a growing market, and there is a great need for our services, which makes it natural for us to expand our activity in the south," says Bo Axelsson, MD of Semcon Engineering West AB. Within the business area Product and Production Development, Semcon is working on product development and also on machine and plant design. The company's competencies range over mechanical engineering, electrical/automation, electronics, process technology, testing, analysis and industrial design.
