Semcon offers employment to fifty people at ABB Automation Systems AB The consultancy company Semcon Engineering East AB has signed a partnership agreement with ABB Automation Systems AB in which Semcon has undertaken to offer employment to 50 or more staff at ABB Automation Systems as Semcon consultants. "Recruiting competent people by means of a partnership agreement with one of our most important customers will give us great opportunities," says Mats Lindelöf, MD of Semcon Engineering East AB. "We'll be acquiring even more well-educated and experienced staff in our organisation and also further strengthening our partnership with ABB. This partnership agreement will support our planned expansion and also stimulate demand from our industrial customers in the region." For ABB Automation Systems AB the agreement means an opportunity to deal with a certain amount of overmanning within certain sections of the organisation due to low order books. The agreement will also provide the staff there with a chance to take on other interesting and improving tasks outside the company but still having Västerås as their place of employment. Through this agreement Semcon will have access to unique ABB competence, a competence which will be offered both to companies within the ABB Group and to other leading companies. "This agreement will give Semcon an even stronger position as a supplier of services to Swedish industry within electronics, IT and automation," says Ove Larsson, Business Development Manager for ABB at Semcon.
