Semcon sells parts of Competence Development Semcon and Nordic Business Institute (NBI) have reached an agreement that NBI will acquire Semcon's training activities in Skåne. The acquisition includes the parts aimed at publicly funded training schemes. NBI will take over staff and equipment guaranteeing that activities will continue. "It's very satisfying to have succeeded in reaching agreement so that the future for competent staff at Semcon can be safeguarded and that they can continue to train people. Through this we will also fulfil our commitments to our customers," says Hans Krondahl, managing director of Semcon Competence Development. The sale is a step in Semcon's strategy of focussing on core activities and phasing out unprofitable parts of the Competence Development business area. The NBI Group has its registered office in Växjö and subsidiaries in southern and western part of Sweden, Norway and Switzerland. NBI supplies competence solutions with commercial expertise as the lowest common denominator. NBI mainly works in areas such as logistics, marketing, leadership, financial control and IT.
