Semcon signs a letter of intent with Polimoon Automotive Development Center Semcon Analysis & Test Center AB has signed a letter of intent with Polimoon Automotive Development Center AB, which is part of the Polimoon Group. The purpose of the letter is to sign an agreement before the 1 March, 2000 to ensure a long-term partnership between the companies. "Polimoon has chosen to deepen out and increase its partnership with Semcon. Collaboration with Polimoon within this area has been in progress for 18 months," says David Hellström, Deputy Managing Director of Semcon ATC (Analysis & Test Center AB). Semcon ATC provides competence and resources within analysis and testing at Polimoon for the development of components for the automotive industry. This means that Semcon ATC will be involved in a number of different areas such as: strength calculations, materials technology, measurement technology and climatic, functional and strength testing. Both parties will undertake the technological development and achieve an integrated working method with the aim of attaining reduced costs for joint customers as regards the development of new products. Polimoon Automotive Development Center, previously Dynoplast, has around 20 staff in Gothenburg. The company is an important subcontractor to the automotive industry and has customers throughout Europe. The Polimoon Group, with its head quarters in Oslo, has 15 production units in 8 countries with a turnover of NOK 1.7 billion.
