Semcon signs an outsourcing agreement with Valmet Karlstad Semcon and Valmet Karlstad AB have signed an outsourcing agreement for the production of Valmet's customer documentation. The agreement between the two companies means an extended partnership, where Semcon will take over activity within this area, and staff affected at Valmet Karlstad will be offered employment at Semcon. The partnership means that members of Valmet's staff will be offered employment at Semcon, and that Semcon will take over the main responsibility for developing the company's entire documentation for the coming 3-year period. "We see it as an advantage from many points of view that Semcon is taking over this activity from us," says Viktor Jensen IT manager at Valmet- Karlstad. "We will achieve increased flexibility, and be able to concentrate better on our core activity, and we will be acquiring considerable competence. Semcon is at the forefront of the technological revision on-going in this area, where the Internet and the multimedia are gaining more and more ground. Furthermore, Semcon are highly professional and have the capacity to cope with the variations arising over time."
