Semcon signs co-operation agreement with Adtranz Sweden Semcon AB has signed a co-operation agreement with Adtranz Sweden, making Semcon a priority supplier of Adtranz Sweden. This agreement is an indication of the desire on the part of Adtranz to develop and deepen its co-operation with a number of selected primary suppliers. The purpose of the agreement with Semcon AB is to create long-term co-operation which would result in a significant increase in Adtranz's resources and expertise. Adtranz Sweden, in partnership with its customers and suppliers, is developing the motor coach, underground and high speed trains of the future, as well as power supply systems. Adtranz, ABB Daimler-Benz Transportation was formed on 01 January 1996 through a merger of the railway businesses of ABB and Daimler- Benz. The Company is owned equally by ABB and Daimler-Benz. Through the years, Semcon has been active in a number of projects for Adtranz units in Helsingborg, Kalmar, Västerås and Stockholm. The latest of these concerned the development of an airport railway line for the Oslo-Gardermoen Airport and the Öresund train project.
