Semcon strengthening its position within Technical Information - new sections in Västerås and Karlstad Semcon is continuing to expand and strengthening its position as a market leader within technical information and the interactive information media. The company is planning to strongly expand its activity and 20 new staff are expected to be taken on during the year. Håkon Pettersson has taken up his post as section head of the Västerås department. The challenge means building up a new section and developing Semcon's market for information services in the Mälardalen. Semcon is working for leading industrial companies in the region such as ABB, Adtranz, Volvo, Aerotech Telub. Anna Jensen has taken up the challenge as head of the new consultancy department in Karlstad. Anna's primary task will be to develop Semcon's market for technical information services within the region and the Karlstad section is already up and running with 8 technological staff. Anna will be starting work on the 1 August and has come to us from Ericsson. Our most important customers in Karlstad are Valmet, Ericsson and ABB. "Demand for our services within the interactive information media and technical information is continually growing and we will be continuing to expand strongly so as to meet customer's requirements. The trend towards outsourcing technical information is growing more and more evident amongst our customers. Developments towards the Internet and interactive tools are proceeding fast and many of our customers know that it is hard to find time to adopt new things fast enough.
