Semconites certificated for Pro/Engineer A new agreement has been signed between Semcon and PTC Sweden. The aim is to certify a large number of consultants within Pro/Engineer, a software tool for automated design and production. Certification can give Semcon a unique edge over other consultancy firms within product development. IT-consultancy and training are two markets where Semcon has seen major expansion over recent years. To win further market shares, great efforts are now in train within Pro/Engineer, one of the leading software programs in product development. "In addition to a competitive advantage, certification will allow us to undertake completely new types of consultancy work with our customers," says Magnus Troiza, responsible for one of the consultancy groups involved at Semcon, with responsibility for customers including Volvo Lastvagnar. "Today leading industrial companies demand guarantees that technicians involved really know their stuff as to development projects. Certification is precisely such a guarantee that we have absolute zenith competence in the area," Magnus Troiza continues. PTC Sweden is responsible for the program sales and support in Sweden. "For PTC it is especially exciting that a consultancy firm is making such an effort.
