Sensys Gatso Australia receives TRaffic enforcement as a Service (TRaaS) order for a new Automated Traffic Offence Enforcement Program in Tasmania to the value of SEK 73.5 million
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety systems, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso Australia, has received an order for the provision of an Automated Traffic Offence Enforcement (ATOE) Program in the State of Tasmania. The order is for a 2 year period with a 1 year extension option. The 3 year contract value is AUD 10.5 million corresponding to approximately SEK 73.5 million.
The order is for the establishment of a new ATOE Program delivered as a subscription service covering Managed Services and Software as a Service deliverables. The Managed Services component will capture road safety incidents through the deployment of Sensys Gatso technology installed in vehicles and trailers operated by our highly trained staff. The Software as a Service deliverable provides a hosted Adjudication System based on Sensys Gatso Puls and Xilium products tailored for use by the state’s adjudication team.
The solution will initially deliver Speed Enforcement from early in the second half of 2022, with optional additional enforcement functionality which is able to be added as an incremental service in the future. The optional additional enforcement will increase the contract value when activated and includes Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Mobile Point to Point Enforcement, Distracted Driver Enforcement, and In-Motion Enforcement solutions.
Sensys Gatso Australia's Managing Director Enzo Dri comments: "This is an exciting initiative to be a part of in Tasmania. We are looking forward to establishing a program in conjunction with the Department of State Growth that will increase road safety across the state. This TRaaS engagement will showcase the breadth of our enforcement experience and enable Tasmania to target the reduction of injuries and fatalities with an increased overt and covert presence across the road network.”
