Sensys Gatso has been selected as vendor to a procurement contract in the Netherlands, with an estimated revenue of SEK 250 million
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary Sensys Gatso Netherlands, has been selected as one of three vendors for a procurement contract to supply, operate and support fixed systems for speed anden red light enforcement in The Netherlands. The investment by the Dutch Public Prosecution Services authority is aiming to replace the existing automated traffic enforcement infrastructure. The Dutch government has budgeted a total project value of approximately EUR 74 million, equivalent to SEK 750 million. Approximately 50% of the contract value is recurring TRaaS revenue, relating to Service, Maintenance and Operations of the enforcement solution. The remaining part is system sales revenue. The total project value will be divided over three vendors. A maximum of 50% can be allotted to one single vendor. Sensys Gatso expects to receive its fair share of the contract value, equivalent to approximately EUR 25 million or SEK 250 million over a contract period of 6 years.
The procurement contract is expected to be signed on April 7th, 2022 after which the project will kick-off. The first milestone is the delivery of a central back office facility. Sensys Gatso will deploy its PULS Analytics platform to fulfill these requirements, enabling the customer to continuously monitor the enforcement systems and efficiently handle large volumes of data. The delivery and installation of the systems will start as soon as the Public Prosecution Services (Openbaar Ministerie) has tested and accepted Sensys Gatso’s offered solution. According to the project plan this is expected to take place in Q1 2023. TRaaS Service and Maintenance as well as Operational activities will commence after deployment of the total solution with a fixed term of 6 years with multiple possible extensions upto a maximum of total 12 years.
This project will replace and update current fixed speed and red light enforcement systems in The Netherlands including some of the sites currently operated by Sensys Gatso. With the signing of a new procurement contract Sensys Gatso has secured the TRaaS business in its home market and will provide the Dutch government with a new state of the art enforcement solution based on Sensys Gatso’s proven T-Series platform.
