Sensys Gatso receives a seven-year TRaaS contract valued at SEK 13 million for school zone speed enforcement in Parma Heights, Ohio
Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety solutions, through its subsidiary, Sensys Gatso USA, has received a seven-year base-term automated school zone speed enforcement contract from the City of Parma Heights. The contract is estimated to be worth up to USD 1,3 million, corresponding to SEK 13 million. The program is anticipated to contribute to revenue in 2023.
Sensys Gatso USA has won this contract with our new customer, Parma Heights, through a competitive proposal process. The initial program foresees fixed speed enforcement systems around school zones. Additionally the program can in the future be expanded, to include handheld and mobile speed enforcement. Planning permissions are expected to come in during the second quarter, allowing first enforcement in the second quarter and first revenue generation in the third quarter of 2023. With the signing of this contract, Sensys Gatso USA now has eight contracted automated traffic enforcement programs in the state of Ohio.
“We are looking forward to working with Sensys Gatso to install cameras in some of our school zones for the safety of our children”, said Parma Heights Mayor Marie Gallo. “Photo enforcement in school zones is another tool for our police department to use so that our officers can focus on other safety measures for our residents. I want to thank Sensys Gatso for working closely with our Law Department on a contract that was unanimously approved by the City Council”.
“We are very pleased to partner with the City of Parma Heights to address their traffic safety concerns”, said Sensys Gatso USA President and Managing Director, Bill Braden. “I appreciate the confidence that the city has expressed in Sensys Gatso through our selection in their competitive proposal process. Our team is ready to work with the city to implement their specifically designed automated school zone traffic safety program and reduce dangerous driving in the community.”
