Sensys Gatso Group, a global leader in traffic safety systems, through its subsidiary, Sensys Gatso Sweden, has been notified of a procurement award decision from the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) stating that Sensys Gatso has won the procurement for new traffic-safety cameras and related installation and maintenance for the nationwide ATK program (Automated Traffic Enforcement). This decision may be appealed during a period of the next 10 days. The estimated contract value over a 12-year period is between SEK 650-850 million, and Sensys Gatso expects to deliver traffic safety equipment and TRaaS services for approximately SEK 400 million in the first 6 years.

The award decision covers the procurement of traffic safety cameras for expansion and replacement of existing systems and related TRaaS service activities. Sensys Gatso's offer was the most competitive of the offers submitted.

The contract will run initially for six years, with options to extend six more years (2+2+2).

Requests for reconsideration of the Swedish Transport Administration's allocation decision must be submitted within ten days. Such a request must be processed by the Administrative Court before the Swedish Transport Administration can sign a contract with the assigned supplier. Sensys Gatso will announce when a contract has been signed.

“We are incredibly proud to have won the ATK award! We submitted the most competitive offer with, among other things, the best photo quality. We look forward to signing the contract with the Swedish Transport Administration in the upcoming weeks and continue our long standing relationship." says General Manager Jörgen Andersson, Sensys Gatso Sweden AB.
