Sergeant's Pet Care Products, Inc. Announces Innovative New Products at Global Pet Expo
(Orlando, Fla. – March 17, 2011) Sergeant’s Pet Care Products, Inc. announces the introduction of innovative new product offerings for both the pet specialty and grocery/mass/drug channels at the 2011 Global Pet Expo. A leader in the pet supplies industry, Sergeant’s will be presenting pet products in the flea and tick, pet treats, health care, pet toys and aquatics categories.

The lineup of new products includes:
FiproGuardTM and FiproGuardTM Plus – These are the first approved generic topical products for fleas and ticks containing the same active ingredients as Frontline Top Spot® (fipronil) and Frontline Plus® (fipronil and (S)-methoprene), at the same concentrations. Because they contain the same active ingredients, FiproGuardTM and FiproGuardTM Plus provide the same level of protection and safety profile as Frontline Top Spot® and Frontline Plus®, but are available through pet specialty retailers, making them more convenient. They are also available to consumers at a lower price than the brand-name products. FiproGuardTM kills adult fleas and ticks; FiproGuardTM Plus kills adult fleas and ticks and also contains an IGR, which prevents reinfestation by addressing all stages of the flea life cycle, just as Frontline Plus®. Like Frontline Top Spot® and Frontline Plus®, FiproGuardTM and FiproGuardTM Plus also kill chewing lice in both dogs and cats. The dog formula also kills mites that may cause sarcoptic mange. FiproGuardTM and FiproGuardTM Plus will be available at pet specialty stores nationwide in spring 2011.*
PronylOTCTM and PronylOTCTM Plus – Developed for the grocery/mass/drug channel, PronylOTCTM and PronylOTCTM Plus contain the same active ingredients as Frontline Top Spot® (fipronil) and Frontline Plus® (fipronil and (S)-methoprene) to kill fleas, ticks and chewing lice in dogs and cats. PūrLuv™ line of treats – These wholesome, delicious treats give pet owners a way to show their love and build their close connection. The line features many treats which are low-fat, contain omega fatty acids and are made with natural ingredients such as real tomatoes, carrots, peanuts, honey and flax seeds. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and textures such as PūrLuv™ Lasting Bones, which support dog dental health by encouraging chewing. PūrLuv™ fish varieties are made with real fish, a flavor loved by dogs. They will be available to retailers in May 2011. PūrLuv™ treats are available at pet specialty stores nationwide.
Tru Harvest™ line of dog treats – This original line of treats combines wholesome ingredients like whole grains and vegetables helping support pet health and well-being. They promote healthy teeth, skin and coat, and also support a healthy digestive tract. Tru Harvest™ treats will be available to grocery, mass and drug stores in April 2011.
Fresh Catch™ line of dog treats – These treats are rich in fish oils, a natural source for omega-3 fatty acids. Made from real fish, they are offer nutrients that help support a healthy heart and immune system. Pet owners are recognizing the health benefits of fish for their dogs, and dogs love the taste. Great for any size dog. Fresh Catch™ treats will be available to grocery, mass and drug stores in July 2011.
Vetscription™ Settledown™ Cat Pheromone Collars – These revolutionary collars help pets reduce their stress and anxiety levels, often the underlying cause of behavior problems.
