Serneke Civil Engineering recruits expertise in rail

To not miss the train as the Swedish government invests heavily in rail infrastructure over the next ten years, Serneke has recruited three people.

Over the next ten years, the government will invest heavily in Sweden’s infrastructure. SEK 700 billion has been allocated for investments in the transport sector, of which SEK 460 billion has been earmarked for rail. A further SEK 300 billion has been allocated to a new high-speed rail network. This will increase the need for construction contractors with expertise in rail construction.

Serneke has now recruited this expertise by employing Technical Area Manager Michael Malmquist, Construction Manager Pelle Sparw, who will focus on southern/western Sweden and Construction Manager Veronica Johansson, who will focus on eastern/northern Sweden.

“Numerous major infrastructure projects await the Swedish construction market. This will, in turn, generate a number of medium-scale assignments suited to our company’s size. We must stand prepared,” says Fredrik Jonsson, President, Serneke Civil Engineering.
