Serneke is building apartments and townhouses for Skandia Fastigheter in Sundbyberg

Serneke has signed an agreement with Skandia Fastigheter to build the first phase of homes in Fabriksparken in Sundbyberg. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 320 million.

The Fabriksparken area in central Sundbyberg is currently an office park. In the coming years, Skandia Fastigheter will develop the area into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood with homes, workplaces, retail and services space. When Fabriksparken is fully completed in 2021, the area will have a total of 450 new homes.

Serneke Construction is the contractor for the first phase of housing that includes 150 apartment units across seven stairwells and seven to 13 floors, as well as four three-story townhouses. Garages and non-residential premises are also included in the contract.

“We have long been an established property owner in Sundbyberg, with offices, housing and commercial premises,” says Markus Pfister, property manager at Skandia Fastigheter. Now we will be developing Fabriksparken into a mixed-use neighborhood with park access and a focus on a social and sustainable lifestyle, where offices, residences, retail and services coexist.

The project planning will commence immediately and the apartments will be ready for occupancy in the third quarter of 2019.

The order value of approximately SEK 320 million will be included in order bookings for the first quarter of 2017.
