Serneke will build the new Hälsans Hus health center in Kungshamn, Sweden, on behalf of Hemsö. The project has an order value of around SEK 42 million.

The project includes the new construction of premises for a pharmacy, rehab, public dental care, a health clinic, a youth guidance center and a prenatal clinic, as well as associated outdoor environments and parking. The current premises have long been in need of a major renovation and a decision has been made to demolish the building to build a new Hälsans Hus. During construction, the current operations will be in temporary premises.

“The project is a turnkey contract, but as always, this project will be run in close cooperation with our client Hemsö and their tenants. Our goal is to create a good collaboration and good facilities that work over time,” said Christer Larsson, Construction Manager at Serneke.

“We are looking forward to creating good healthcare facilities in close cooperation with Serneke and our tenants,” said Fredrik Alvarsson, Project Development Manager at Hemsö.

Construction will begin with groundbreaking on Wednesday, 7 September, at 12-noon. Hälsans Hus is scheduled for completion around year-end 2017.
