ServiceMaster Announces 100 New IT Positions
Memphis-based company says positions will support business growth
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Feb. 27, 2012) — The ServiceMaster Company announced today it will fill 100 new IT positions in the coming weeks, ranging from technical support to management positions.
These new IT positions, which will be based in Memphis, are part of an overall hiring effort that ServiceMaster announced at the start of the year. Altogether, the company will be filling 350 local jobs in the first two quarters of 2012 and 6,700 jobs nationally, all supporting the ServiceMaster family of brands, which includes American Home Shield, AmeriSpec, Furniture Medic, Merry Maids, ServiceMaster Clean, Terminix and TruGreen.
“I’m very excited that we’re hiring for positions that are critical to ServiceMaster’s future growth,” said Linda Goodspeed, the company’s chief information officer. “My goal is to create a world-class information technology team that not only provides outstanding technical support to our businesses, but also helps transform our customers’ experiences.”
Qualifications will vary by position, but overall ServiceMaster is looking for highly-motivated candidates with solid IT background and work experience, said Goodspeed, who joined the company as CIO in October. Most of the positions require a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, but an associate’s degree is acceptable for some of the roles.
Salaries range between $40,000 and $100,000. In addition, all full-time associates are eligible for a competitive benefits package, which includes life, disability and health insurance coverage, as well as 401(k) options.
All interested IT professionals are invited to meet with ServiceMaster hiring managers at a job fair hosted by the company on March 10 at the Hilton Memphis hotel on Ridge Lake Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
