Theresa Mendoza Third Winner Of Award

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – ServiceMaster Clean has announced the selection of Infineon Raceway's Theresa Mendoza as this season's third recipient of the “Extra Mile Award.”

Mendoza and her staff leave a visible imprint at Infineon Raceway during each race weekend via their housekeeping duties at the facility. While most of the work is done well before teams and fans arrive at the track, the “shine” is evident. Mendoza sets the standard for her team, performing her tasks with a sense of pride and reliability. That standard has become a core value of the group. Mendoza has been a member of the Infineon team for nine years.

“Working for a company that specializes in cleaning, I figure I can spot a good cleaner, and Theresa is a great one,” said Jim Wassell, chief marketing officer for ServiceMaster Clean. “She takes pride in what she does and Infineon is very fortunate to have her on its team. Theresa Mendoza truly embodies the spirit of the Extra Mile Award and we are honored to recognize her efforts.”

The “Extra Mile Award” recipient can be any member of the track staff who works in a service-oriented position. Track management personnel select the winner. Mendoza will receive special awards and recognition this weekend, including Sunday’s pre-race ceremonies for the Toyota/Save Mart 350.

“No one at Infineon Raceway works harder than Theresa,” said Steve Page, the track's president and general manager. “She and her staff make this place shine and we are so proud that she is our ServiceMaster Clean honoree this year.”

ServiceMaster Clean is in its second season as the official sponsor of caution periods at the 19 International Speedway Corp. (ISC) and Speedway Motorsports Inc. (SMI) tracks and Dover International Speedway.
