Larry Ament Named Winner of ‘Extra Mile Award’

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (July 7, 2010) – Larry Ament of Chicagoland Speedway has been named the fourth recipient this season of the “Extra Mile Award,” it was announced today by ServiceMaster Clean.

Ament, a Plano, Ill., resident and the father of five boys, coordinates maintenance and repair of company-owned or leased equipment, including all of the ServiceMaster-branded equipment. He's also responsible for implementing the preventive maintenance program, keeping records of equipment maintenance and maintaining the inventory of equipment and tools.

“Larry has been an invaluable member of the Chicagoland Speedway team since the track’s inception back in 2001,” stated Chicagoland Speedway President Craig Rust. “His positive attitude and work ethic exemplifies the team approach required to successfully host a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.”

A 10-year veteran of Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Dragway, Ament is considered a “model employee” with “great customer service skills.” A very family-oriented person, Ament is willing to assist on any projects when needed and he completes his work in a timely fashion. He also has a “great ability” to work with the facility's various departments.

“Larry’s dedication to everything he does comes through loud and clear, as this race is always top-notch,” said Jim Wassell, chief marketing officer for ServiceMaster Clean. “He takes pride in what he does and Chicagoland Speedway is very fortunate to have him on its team. Larry Ament truly embodies the spirit of the Extra Mile Award and we are honored to recognize his efforts.”

The award recipient can be any member of the track staff that works in a service-oriented position. Track management personnel select the winner. Ament will receive special awards and recognition this weekend during Saturday's pre-race ceremonies for the Lifelock.com 400.
