Continued efficiency improvment at Setra

Setra Byggprodukter AB, a subsidiary of the Setra Group, is continuing its efficiency improvement work and concentrating its operations to Stockholm and Katrineholm. The aim is to meet the building trade's rising demands for services, logistics and product range.

"Our goal is to be the building trade's first-hand choice in distribution of board and joinery and thereby consolidate and strengthen our position as a market leader," says Per Fredrikson, President of Setra Byggprodukter AB.

"Concentration is rising in the building trade," Fredrikson says. "We are meeting this trend through refinement and specialisation. By gathering our expertise geographically we will achieve major synergies."

To create the conditions for Setra Byggprodukter AB's future development, the customer service, purchasing and business information units will be concentrated in the head offices in Stockholm. The warehouse operation in Gothenburg will be closed, and those activities will in the future be conducted from the company's warehouses in Katrineholm and Stockholm.

The planned operational change, which is expected to be completed by year-end, will affect some 20 persons in Gothenburg, Katrineholm and Kristinehamn.

Co-determination negotiations on the changes will commence in mid-June.

Setra Byggprodukter AB, a subsidiary of the Setra Group, purchases and distributes board and joinery to customers in the building trade, primarily in Sweden.
