New Plusshus orders worth SEK 70 million
In the second quarter, Setra received new orders for Plusshus worth a total of SEK 70 million. The orders relate to industrial-scale construction of apartments and terraced housing for customers in Greater Stockholm and Umeå.
“This is proof of continued rising interest in industrial-scale and climate-smart wood construction,” says Krister Norberg, head of the Plusshus operations within Setra’s Building Systems & Products business area.
“Our customers, builders and developers, are experiencing increased demand in the market. The period between sales start, building start and the desired occupancy date is shortening. Our standardised building systems and processes make us a flexible cooperation partner able to deliver unique homes with a short construction time,” says Norberg.
The new orders include apartments, groups of terraced houses, and detached houses in the Stockholm suburbs of Knivsta, Bålsta, Hässelby and Haninge as well as in Nynäshamn, south of Stockholm. In central Umeå, a city in northern Sweden, a densification project is underway where roof-top terraced houses are being built on top of existing apartment blocks.
Setra’s industrial-scale Plusshus construction offers flexible housing units with a high prefabrication level. Manufacturing takes place at the modular building factories in Skellefteå and Kristinehamn.
Setra Group includes a total of nine sawmills, three processing units and two modular building factories.
