Plusshus wins orders worth SEK 30 million
Setra's subsidiary Plusshus has signed new orders worth over SEK 30 million in June. These orders include production of wooden terraced housing and apartments for customers in Greater Oslo and Greater Stockholm.
"Despite a generally tough situation in the construction market, we are experiencing a positive trend for industrial-scale wooden buildings," says Nils Clausén, CEO of Setra's subsidiary Plusshus.
"We note a clear interest in the advantages offered by our cost-effective and climate-smart wooden building system," says Clausén. "Especially in expanding conurbations such as Stockholm and Oslo, issues linked to long-term sustainable housing solutions are high on the agenda."
"Since the beginning of this year, we have increased the workforce at our modular building factories in Skellefteå and Kristinehamn with some 35 people. These new orders mean continued high capacity utilisation, so we will be able to keep the workforce at the same level, at least," says Clausén.
Plusshus's business mission is to offer customised and cost-effective housing units made of wood with a high prefabrication level. Customers include commercial property developers and contractors primarily in Sweden and Norway. Manufacturing takes place at two factories in Kristinehamn and Skellefteå, Sweden.
Plusshus is part of Setra Group.
