    Setra reports strong second quarter

    Wood products company Setra reports an operating profit of SEK 76 million (88) for the first half of 2016. Net sales totalled SEK 2,188 million (2,270). Operating profit for the second quarter amounted to SEK 67 million (64) and net sales reached SEK 1,160 million (1,229).“The market for wood products continued to develop in a positive direction during the second quarter. We can see a significantly better balance in the market, particularly for whitewood products. We report an operating profit for the second quarter of SEK 67 million which is a strong result in the current market situation,”

    Interim report January – March 2016: Improved market situation

    Wood products company Setra reports an operating profit of SEK 9 million (24) for the first quarter of 2016. Net sales totalled SEK 1,028 million (1,041).“The lower earnings compared with the first quarter in the previous year was mainly explained by lower selling prices.     Setra invests in Malå and Färila

    During autumn 2015, Setra will make technology investments at the sawmills in Malå and Färila in order to further strengthen competitiveness.At Setra Malå the investment involves upgrading the trimmer and includes a camera for automated sorting and a new control system.     Anders Marklund will be Setra’s new CFO. He has been acting CFO since October 2014. Michael Lindholm has taken up the position of new Purchasing Manager. Three new positions have been appointed within the marketing organisation for building products.Anders Marklund has worked with finance and accounts within Setra since 2005.
