Alex and Ani in the Winner’s Circle at the Kentucky Derby Launches New Line of Charm Bangles
CRANSTON, RI (April 30) – Giovanni Feroce, CEO of Alex and Ani, Inc., today announced that Alex and Ani will unveil a new line of expandable wire charm bangles featuring world-renowned symbols of the Kentucky Derby to coincide with the 138th running of the first jewel in Thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown. The Kentucky Derby is held annually on the first Saturday in May™ in Louisville, Kentucky at Churchill Downs.
"Vibrant hats, mint juleps, shiny leather saddles, and, most importantly, the magnificent horses bred to run and triumph, invoke the energy of the Kentucky Derby," said Designer Carolyn Rafaelian, Owner and President.

Alex and Ani’s philanthropic division, Charity by Design, will be teaming up with Louisville, KY base nonprofit organization, Blessings in a Backpack. Charity by Design partnered with Blessings in a Backpack in January 2012 to launch a cornucopia bangle, in which 20% of sales are donated back to the organization to provide food for underprivileged school children on weekends.
The Kentucky Derby charm bangles and 3D collection will be available in Alex and Ani retail stores, online at www.alexandani.com at the Finish Line Gift Shop at the Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville, Kentucky and The Churchill Downs Store at Gate 17 beginning May 4th. The eco-friendly, recycled charm bangles are affordably priced beginning at $28 and will be available in two color finishes, Russian Gold and Russian Silver.
