Company Announcement No. 12-2020
Copenhagen, September 17th, 2020

The Board of Directors are nominating the former Minister of Education Merete Riisager for election as a board member for the next annual ordinary general meeting. Merete Riisager immediately joins the Board of Directors in Shape Robotics as a board observer.

"All around the globe, children are struggling to understand technology as part of new curriculas. Technology is a tool, an infrastructure, a community, a media and a problem solver. All this is difficult to grasp. Shape robotics is enabling the teacher introducing technology in the classroom, so that everybody can get a first hand impression on robotics and coding. This is important work, and I am looking very much forward to participating." says Merete Riisager.

Lars Nyengaard, Chairman of the Board, explains the reason for the nomination:
“Merete has a strong background in politics and solid understanding of how the educational sector operates, both in Denmark as well as abroad. We as the Board of Directors have no doubt that Merete will be an important partner in our growth plans.”

At the same time Thomas Gjørup has informed the Board of Directors that he plans to withdraw from the Board of Directors at the next ordinary general meeting. Thomas has been a board member in Shape Robotics since 2017, representing TAG Holding ApS.

“I joined the Board of Directors in Shape Robotics in 2017 along with an initial investment from TAG Holding ApS.  TAG Holding has invested in the company through several tranches and was also a cornerstone investor in the recent IPO. It has been an amazing journey so far and I am glad that I took part in it. Now, Shape Robotics is at a place where more specialized competences are needed on the board and I look forward to follow the company as an investor in the years to come”,  says Thomas Gjørup, board member.

Lars Nyengaard, Chairman of the Board:
“We are truly thankful to Thomas for his work in Shape Robotics as board member and as investor.”
