Shape Robotics’ CEO held on 27 August 2024 a live Q&A Session giving updates on the business.

Disclaimer:The Company has released its interim financial report on 22 August 2024; additional information is available in the said report.

As previously communicated to the investors, Shape Robotics has organized a live Q&A session for the investors community in order to offer updates regarding the business operations. This event is part of a series of events to be organized for the investors’ community.

During the live session, Mark Abraham, CEO, responded to several questions received from shareholders and also communicated information regarding the current status of the business.

The session was divided into 2 sections, the first focusing on the Q2 Report and the second on the current status of the business.

Summarizing the main ideas, it has been communicated that:

  • All communication from the company follows the official channels and prescribed legal rules; this triggers also the moments for disclosure and not simple business decisions;
  • Q2 report is public and the numbers presented therein support our plan; market specific is that Q3 and Q4 are the most busy, therefore guidance is maintained.
  • Shape Robotics is focused on the execution of the projects started already and also continues working in adding new projects in its portfolio.
  • IR activities are coordinated with Point Communications.
  • Key differentiators are key for the strategy and Shape Robotics is unique in the market:
    • Expanding market reach driven by the global robotics and STEAM market
    • New product development, driven by the R&D team lead by founder Moises Pacheco
    • International expansion – through increased number of partners and as part of the Lenovo ecosystem, Shape being now listed as 3PO partner
    • Strategic acquisitions – Shape Robotics remains open to strategic acquisitions.
  • Partners like NOD are not unique; what is unique about NOD is their division of EU Funding and they are the bigger distributor in the market.
  • Shape Robotics follows a thorough process in selecting its Tier 1 distributors across the markets; therefore, this kind of partnership should not be interpreted as dependency towards a client but rather a channel distribution strategy, like any other major player in the market.
  • Romanian market will not change for the next 1-3 years, it should develop in line with the development of the local economy; the project will continue until 2027 for sure, but the financial cycles should continue – the current project only cover 1/3 of the schools.
  • As of now, the minimum technical requirements for the digital transformation projects ascribed by the regulations in Romania include modular robots (Fable) and integrated mobile learning systems (such as Thinken), therefore any project has include either Fable or Thinken, depending on the financing stream.
  • Digital transformation is a new concept and there are few players on the market addressing this.
  • As a scale up we are focusing now on execution and consolidation
  • The Fable robots are manufactured in Bucharest, Romania since 2021.
  • The group has almost 80 FTEs across the organization.
