Rob Widger, former Global Master Trainer at LEGO® Education is now starting his journey as Global Education Director at Shape Robotics.

The Danish robotics company Shape Robotics with headquarters in Farum north of Copenhagen as well as an office in Odense, has now brought in Rob Widger from UK as Global Education Director.

Rob Widger has profound experience within the teaching industry and comes directly from a position at Al Ain Education in Dubai where he was responsible for Training & Development. Rob’s passion for hands-on-learning made him write a book on how to implement the use of LEGO® Mindstorms in the classroom which kick-started his career at LEGO® Education in the UK. That was the starting point for a full decade working around LEGO® Education, and before leaving his position, Rob had visited more than 30 different countries all over the world, where he provided education and training for resellers, teachers, and students. Rob Widger is therefore a familiar face to many of Shape Robotics' current and future resellers.

“I’m very excited to have Rob Widger joining the team. His immense experience within the education community makes him the perfect candidate to further develop our teaching materials and professional development for teachers. At the center of his work will be ensuring students can reach their potential. He will help bring our proposition to a whole new level,” says CCO, Steen Lund, and continues:

“Rob will play an important role in Shape Robotics’ strategy to strengthen and expand our teaching materials so it adapts to the curriculum and learning objectives for various subjects all over the world.”
