Company Announcement No. 25-2021

Copenhagen, March 30th, 2021

The Danish Lung Association has selected Shape Robotics for Phase 2 of their national project to help homebound children with respiratory diseases back in school.

In Phase 1 of the project, starting last summer, the Danish Lung Association evaluated five different technical solutions. One of the solutions was the telepresence robot called Fable Connect from Shape Robotics.

The result of the evaluation was to select Fable Connect as the solution for Phase 2 of the project.

In Phase 2, Danish schools and children with respiratory diseases will receive a robot and be taught how to use the system. The project will follow a gradual roll-out strategy, starting with a smaller group of children.

“The Danish Lung Association has been very professional in their evaluation and I am excited to start the roll-out of Fable Connect now. We understand the vast value it brings to the children who has often not been with their friends for months.” says CEO David Johan Christensen

This initial roll-out in Phase 2 will help 20 children and has a financial value of 240 TDKK for the company. The intent of the Danish Lung Association is to offer and roll-out the robots to all Danish children within the target group. The long-term financial value of the project is yet unknow.

“This project has strategic importance for us. We believe that it can help us setup similar partnerships with other patient associations around the world.” says CEO David Johan Christensen

The order does not change the estimated revenue for the full year of 2021, which has previously been predicted to DKK 14-17M.
