Report this content

Shape Robotics A/S, a leader in educational robotics, recently organized a live Q&A session for the investors community in order to offer updates regarding relevant business operations and other developments. This event is part of an ongoing series of events to be organized for the investors’ community.

During the live session, Mark Abraham, CEO, together with Marius Vasile, Vice-President for channel sales, responded to several questions received from shareholders and also communicated information regarding the current status of the business.

In summary, the following topics were discussed during the Q&A:

  • Preliminarily, it was clarified that the session would primarily focus on business discussions rather than topics related to share price evolution or quarterly results. The emphasis, going forward, would be on commercial aspects and company achievements.
  • Sales Strategy: Shape Robotics plans to establish a consistent sales flow and diversify its customer base. The aim is to reduce reliance on project-based sales and focus on regular ongoing business sales, with hopes to achieve a balance between project-based and regular sales by next year.
  • Product Line Expansion: Shape Robotics has further improved and developed its product lineup, with a significant focus on the new Thinken product offering in partnership with Lenovo. This product is expected to be the spearhead for growth and market penetration, particularly in new and existing markets.
  • Market Penetration and Global Expansion: Shape Robotics strategy in this area involves targeting central and eastern European markets using existing subsidiaries and affiliates in that area as a springboard, with an ongoing focus on the core markets in Romania, Poland and Moldova. Shape Robotics is also forming strong partnerships with distributors and resellers to grow its presence worldwide, with several such partnerships being recently signed to cater to certain Middle East and Asia markets, as previously communicated. Shape Robotics is further working on expanding globally, recently showcasing our products in North Africa in close cooperation with Lenovo and continuing to attend reseller events across various countries. Potential expansion perspectives of Shape Robotics sales and presence in markets such as Germany and the United States of America was also discussed.

  • Educational Sector Challenges and Solutions: Selling to the educational sector is unique due to the specific needs and preferences of schools and teachers, especially regarding the use of technology post-COVID. To overcome any challenges this very specific market presents, Shape Robotics products and sales representatives place a special focus on ensuring the best user experience for teachers, regardless of their level of technical proficiency, ensuring that our technology grants the means to reach any student, especially in more isolated areas, the overall goal being to reduce school drop-out rates.

  • Inclusive Technology: Shape Robotics is focusing on inclusivity and accessibility in its product lineup, adapting our technology to address needs such as dyslexia and color blindness in children. These features are tailored to specific markets, such as Romania, and are designed to improve accessibility for students with special needs, and to this end Shape Robotics is also working quite closely with NGOs that focus on providing a smooth educational experience to children with special needs, such as the Kineto-Bebe association in Romania.
