Sharp announces return to strength

“The results should be considered in the context of Sharp’s commitment to its Medium Term Management Plan, designed to shape a new Sharp that achieves stable growth in profits and steady cash generation. Although we cannot reveal actual figures for our business in Europe, we are encouraged by our positive performance in Europe last year, with a return to profit and many notable success stories within our business.”

Highlights for 2013/2014 were:
- Launching of Cloud Portal Office, a web based sharing, storing and simple workflow service which allows businesses to collaborate better and work more efficiently, alongside new award winning MFPs.
- Introducing a range of next generation BIG PAD collaborative touchscreens and full-HD touch screen LCD monitors.
- Bringing to market the ground-breaking Quattron Pro TV range as well as the world’s largest Full HD LED TV with 90” screen size and a number of state of the art audio products.
- Further expanding our Visual Solutions business in retail signage and other sectors across Europe.
- Entering the LED Lighting market with the launch of five product families and over 50 lighting products for retail and industrial spaces
- Offering integrated energy solutions, including solar modules for energy creation, battery systems for energy storage, LED lighting for energy saving and supporting services like training and financing
