Shaylor Group announces strong increased demand for their fit-out expertise with a significant number of new contract wins throughout the UK.

Continuing their growing presence in the interiors sector, a new £12m contract with real estate developers Westrock has been secured to fit-out the iconic Merton Centre in central Bedford. The 52 week programme will see Shaylor Group’s dedicated team working closely with neighbouring businesses and the town council to ensure minimal disruption to trading and traffic whilst the scheme is being delivered.

Shaylor Group is also continuing its success in the London arena with two new significant fit-out appointments in Enfield and Barnet. The Enfield project will see Shaylor Group deliver the £6m fit-out of former office block Southbury House into 124 residential apartments for serial client Rooms & Studios. This new contract further strengthens Shaylor’s relationship with Rooms & Studios, making it their 3rd project together following the completion of similar projects in Croydon last year. Elsewhere in the city, Shaylor Group will be carrying out the £2.4m commercial fit-out of Barnet House, an 11 storey office block which houses the customer-facing services of the London Borough of Barnet council.
South of the capital, Shaylor Group has been appointed to carry out two fit-out projects in central Reading. The £4.5m Garrard House project will see Shaylor Group convert the centrally located building into 83 luxury apartments aimed at the professional city worker market. A similar project at St Giles House will see Shaylor Group carry out the £3m transformation of an existing office building into student accommodation in just 24 weeks for London based developers Bywater Capital Ltd.

Spanning the south of the country, Shaylor Group has recently started further fit-out projects in both Dartmouth and Horsham. In the South East, the Horsham Gates project sees Shaylor Group converting two existing office blocks into high-spec one and two bedroom apartments with a project value of £6.5m. In the South West, Shaylor Group has recently started the £1m conversion and externsion of former care home Windward House into 10 individually designed luxury apartments overlooking Start Bay.

Richie Shaylor, Group Operations Director, commented “Shaylor Group has a strong track record in the fit-out sector covering both residential and commercial projects, particularly when working to fast-track timescales. These latest contract awards show the market has confidence in our abilities to deliver significant projects throughout the UK, and we are more than confident that our presence in this competitive sector will continue to increase”.
