Shaylor Group Heritage Specialist elected to Chartered Institute of Building Board of Trustees
Richard joins Shaylor Group’s growing team of senior industry professionals including a past CIOB President, former Cabinet Office construction advisor and current Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Shaylor Group is delighted to announce that Heritage Specialist Richard Sapcote has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Charted Institute of Building (CIOB). This highly respected position reflects Richard’s outstanding reputation within the construction industry and in particular his commitment to developing the work of the CIOB, spreading its influence and raising standards in the wider industry. The appointment follows a number of previous notable positions within the Institute including Chair of the Chartered Building Companies Scheme and West Midlands CIOB Branch Chair.
In addition to his election, Richard is also celebrating Shaylor Group’s success at the recent Celebrating Construction Awards 2016. Richard oversaw delivery of the £2 million restoration of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Swan Wing, which was named winner of the Heritage category in the prestigious awards ceremony held in Birmingham last weekend.
Speaking of his election, Richard commented “I am extremely proud to have been elected. I would like to thank my family and colleagues for their fantastic support and of course the CIOB members who kindly voted for me. This is an amazing privilege and I will thoroughly enjoy my tenure, serving CIOB members to the best of my abilities.”
Shaylor Group Chief Executive Stephen Shaylor added “We are incredibly proud of Richard and his achievement of gaining a position on the Board of Trustees.
