Introducing Messagemaker’s Innovative New Speed Awareness Message Sign

Messagemaker, have launched their new Speed Awareness Message (SAM) Sign. Easy to set up and install, with no engineer or tools required, it can be easily moved between locations if need be.  Retailing at just £1,780 (+ VAT), the signs represent a highly competitive, low-cost entry point to the traffic speed sign market.

The SAM sign is an innovative new product that displays the speed of an approaching vehicle in real time so the driver can see the speed he or she is travelling at, and can be provided with an optional ‘SLOW DOWN’ message for when a vehicle is moving too quickly.  The speed that the sign is set to can be programmed prior to despatch and then can easily be altered by the customer if requirements or the sign’s location changes.

The sign requires minimal power to operate, making it efficient and cost-effective, and can be powered by battery, solar power or a 230 volt supply. Depending on the planned usage it can be either semi-portable or fixed and comes with a custom post mounting bracket for ease of installation and relocation.

On board programming is enabled, without a laptop or PC, allowing the sign to be set to a particular speed in either MPH or KPH, which can easily be changed at a later date.  A data capture option is also available.

The SAM signs are fully weatherproof, being housed in an aluminium enclosure for durability, with security locks and have a narrow viewing angle. They also incorporate an auto-dim facility for night-time use, making them popular for use in residential areas, and can be used on public roads and private sites.
