Beatson Clark Supplies Jar for Award-Winning Passionfruit Curd
News release
5th October 2012
Glass manufacturer Beatson Clark has supplied the jars for a new and exotic Passionfruit Curd launched by award-winning niche food producer Darlington & Daughters.
Described as “a taste of paradise all the way from Cheshire,” Darlington & Daughters’ Passionfruit Curd is sold in a 10oz pickle jar with a twist off neck finish from Beatson Clark’s extensive general sale range.
It’s a neat solution which demonstrates Beatson Clark’s flexibility, says Marketing Manager Charlotte Taylor.
“Our general sale range is the perfect low-cost answer for artisan manufacturers who require premium packaging available from stock,” said Charlotte.
“We have more than 60 products for the food sector as well as a wide selection of pharmaceutical and beverage products, so we can supply a suitable container for most products from stock and deliver it immediately.
“High-end products such as the Darlington & Daughters range need high-quality packaging, and all the research indicates that consumers prefer glass and consider it a premium packaging material.”
Beatson Clark already supplies the jars for the rest of the Darlington & Daughters range, which includes fruit curds, jams, jellies, marmalades, sauces, pickles and chutneys.
The firm’s new Passionfruit Curd product won a Great Taste Award from the British Guild of Fine Food earlier this year.
“We have over 70 products in our range but we are best known for our fruit curds - our Legendary Lemon Curd was the first product we introduced more than 30 years ago and it is still our fastest selling line today,” said Wendy Darlington.
“We really appreciate the proactive and personalised support we get from the team at Beatson Clark – their customer service levels are excellent.”
