News Release

4th October 2012

Members of Lincoln Business Club managed to raise £90 for Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a coffee morning after their monthly meeting at Lincoln City Football Club.

The event on Friday 28th September was organised as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning which is an annual campaign organised by Macmillan to help fund the work they do to support the millions of people in the UK living with cancer every year.

Prior to the coffee morning the members heard from educational Emma Tatlow who gave an update on Visit Lincoln’s recent activities including launching the Lincoln brand and starting work on their new website visitlincoln.com. Meeting sponsor was McKinnells Solicitors.

Chairman Richard Hare commented: “By taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning we have managed to raise money for charity and had fun at the same time.

“Macmillan does an amazing job providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support for sufferers and their families so we are really pleased to help support the fantastic work that they do.

“The club has really enjoyed being involved in the Macmillan coffee morning and we look forward to taking part in the event again next year.”
