John Cridland, Director-General of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and Boston Grammar School old boy, will return to Lincolnshire to share his thoughts on business and the economy in the autumn.

As Director-General of the CBI John Cridland has influenced the nation’s economic policy and been the voice of UK business locally, nationally and internationally.

At the event, which aims to inform and update company directors in the region, he will discuss such issues as the state of the UK economy, how the CBI is working to secure private sector growth, the UK’s exporting potential and business needs from the education system.

Adrian Reynolds, Managing Partner at Duncan and Toplis, said they were delighted to have such an influential speaker advising the county’s business leaders.

“The event is aimed at those with corporate governance responsibilities, where John Cridland has vast knowledge and experience,” he said.

“It’s a real coup for us to be able to welcome John back to his Lincolnshire roots and we’re looking forward with anticipation to hear what he will have to say.”
