CBI Director-General to Return to County Roots

John Cridland, the Director-General of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) who went to school in Boston, will be in Grantham next week (12th September) to share his thoughts on business and the economy.

He will be the keynote speaker at the annual Duncan & Toplis Directors’ Briefing which will be held on Wednesday 12th September at the Belton Woods Hotel.

As Director-General of the CBI John Cridland has influenced the nation’s economic policy and been the voice of UK business locally, nationally and internationally.

At the event, which aims to inform and update company directors in the region, he will discuss the state of the UK economy, the CBI’s latest economic forecasts and where the Government and business need to do more to help deliver growth.

Among the other speakers will be Jane de Lozey, Joint Head of Fraud at the Serious Fraud Office; Sleaford and North Hykeham MP Stephen Phillips QC; Neil Parker, Market Strategist at NatWest; and cybercrime expert Dibble Clark from 3SDL.

“It’s a real coup for us to be able to welcome John back to his Lincolnshire roots and we’re looking forward with anticipation to hear his talk,” he said.
